Metaphorse Equine Facilitated Learning Certification
Program Overview
This certification prepares equine facilitated learning practitioners to work through a metaphor-based lens, drawing on four established traditions in the field — safety and accreditation standards, ground-based experiential work, here-and-now awareness practice, and the herd-leadership and congruence tradition — integrated with Metaphorse Growth and Healing Center's own approach.
The program runs 12 weeks, September 21 through December 13, 2026, and blends three formats:
- Self-paced foundation modules (Week 1)
- Weekly live Zoom sessions (90 minutes, most weeks)
- Two in-person intensives (4 days each, at Metaphorse's facility)
A supervised practicum and final assessment in Weeks 9–12 give trainees the chance to apply the material with live feedback before certification.

Work-study option
Need another way to make certification possible? A limited number of Metaphorse Work-Study positions may be available. Qualified students can combine tuition payments with approved work contributions toward a portion of your $3,600 program tuition. Work-study positions are limited and require prior approval.
