Masterson Method Equine Specialist
Facilitating bodywork as an equine-assisted activity
Join us for a 3-day hands-on Course and learn how to bring specific Masterson Method® techniques to Equine-assisted Services (EAS) programs in partnership with a mental health therapist, personal development coach, or horsemanship/riding educator. You will learn to connect with the horses at your program and develop deeper communication with your clientele and horses by reading the horse's responses.
The Masterson Method is a gentle approach to equine bodywork wherein we learn to observe and use the horse's micro-movement responses to our touch to find and release tension in areas of the body that most affect performance. It is interactive bodywork that we do WITH the horse, not ON the horse. With just the basics of The Masterson Method, you'll be able to improve your horse's way of going (aka performance) and well-being, while also deepening the connection with your horse in this dance of body language, touch, and movement.
At this 3-day course, you will learn key Masterson principles, as well as the purpose, goals, anatomical considerations, safety tips and mechanics of each technique found in the Beyond Horse Massage book with plenty of practice time and hands-on assistance.
